NEW YORK : DAY 3

On day 3 we attempted to go and see the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge again as the sun was shining so it was the perfect day to go and get the best pictures!

To get to the Statue of Liberty you have to dock at Battery park which was at the very, very bottom of Manhattan in the Financial District. The easiest way we found to get there was jumping on the metro as I have been before and got the hop on and off buses and it just took way to long as you get stuck in traffic at every block. Time is precious when you have a lot to get in! So the metro was easier and we boarded at Grand Central Station, jumped on the 4 line and got off at Wall Street, then we was on the first boat across. Perfect!

We went on a tour using our NYC city passes (which I 100% recommend by the way) which took us to the island of Liberty, then to Ellis island and back to the Battery Park docks. I’ve been past the Statue of Liberty before but never gone to the island so it was really nice to go and see it. It’s also an amazing view seeing the skyline from the water, it’s just surreal and you get some amazing pictures. Here’s some below.

After here we went to Ellis island then back to the Battery Park docks, where we then walked from to get to Brooklyn Bridge which was around a 25 minute walk. More walking yes! Like I said before if your going to New York take sensible shoes and prepare to have no feet left by the end ha!

The rest of the day then consisted of the Empire State Building (we did a day and night visit with the city pass) then the Intrepid Mueseum, walked around by the beautiful Public Library which was near the Chrysler building and back over to Times Square. We pretty much saw everything that day haha.

So because it was super sunny I decided to get this cute little gingham number out for the day. YES to gingham! Then paired it with my little white frilly socks, my white kids superstar trainers and my silver backpack. I felt like I was ready to go to school but the dress is super cute. I love it so much because it is one shouldered and has a big frill. This dress is from H&M’s Trend collection which I will link for you below. Here’s some pictures.

Isn’t this dress just the cutest?! I’ve just been so obsessed with gingham at the moment and I think it would look lovely in red to. You can shop this dress in the shopping link below, just click the bold text.

Thanks so much for reading guys and I’ll upload my last full day on Wednesday so catch you then. Comments are very much appreciated :)!
